Parent and carer helpsheets

To support parents and carers in keeping their children safer online, download and share our helpsheets. They provide clear, practical advice for parents and carers on how to talk about online safety, guide their child through their online experiences and supportive actions they can take.

Split into primary and secondary age groups, each helpsheet includes:

  • Key advice on supporting their child to be safer online, tailored to age
  • Links to CEOP Education resources parents and carers can use with their children
  • Suggestions for starting conversations about being safer online
  • Further tips, support and guidance

Share these with parents and carers through your setting’s communication channels (e.g. newsletters, school website, email). They can also be printed and given out as take-home resources.

Our helpsheets are great for helping parents and carers to build their confidence in discussing being safer online and encourage open, age appropriate conversations at home.
