What is it
This non-statutory advice aims to support designated safeguarding people (or equivalents) and senior leadership teams in education settings in Wales in responding effectively to incidents involving the sharing of nudes and semi-nudes.
A one page summary on how to manage incidents is also available for other members of staff.
How to use it
You can use the guidance to help you:
- risk assess incidents
- safeguard and support children and young people
- handle devices and imagery
- record incidents including role of other agencies
- provide education on the sharing of nudes and semi-nudes
Who can use it
This advice is for designated safeguarding leads (DSLs), their deputies, headteachers and senior leadership teams in schools and educational establishments in England.
