A facilitators guide: helping parents and carers #AskTheAwkward is an NCA-CEOP resource that will support professionals to deliver workshops with parents and carers, to help them overcome some of the awkwardness that comes with discussing online relationships with their children. This facilitators guide is included as part of #AskTheAwkward, an NCA-CEOP education resource for parents and carers that aims to help them recognise the role of online spaces as young people form and maintain their relationships. The resource also helps parents and carers positively support and discuss online relationships with their secondary aged children.

Send me a pic? understanding and responding to nude image based abuse

Send me a pic? is a CEOP Education resource for children and young people aged 11 to 14. The resource is a set of four lesson plans which centre around nine films depicting fictional online chats. The resource aims to empower children and young people to understand and respond to nude image based abuse and recognise when and how to seek help.

Band Runner game and website

Support 8-10 year olds to understand how to stay safe from risks they might encounter online with Band Runner, our fun interactive game that puts children's knowledge about staying safe online to the test. Band Runner is hosted on our CEOP Education website for 8-10 year olds.

RESEARCH REPORT

Digital Romance

Understand how young people are using digital technologies in their romantic relationships by reading a summary of the ‘Digital Romance’ research project, led by Brook and CEOP. It looks at how young people use tech as they flirt, start relationships, negotiate pressure, and break up. You can also share the findings with others using a downloadable presentation.
